When I'm on the bus and there's nothing to do and nothing to think about, I'd really like to turn around and throw up all over the person behind me who chews their gum with their mouth open... It's distracting and extremely disgusting to hear. It's like sitting in front of a pig eating their slops.


Anyhow...I'm at uni right now and I wanted a new journal entry, so I thought I'd write about anything (though I'm supposed to be writing my German essay).


Another thing, this time about trains.
You hear lots of people in Sydney complain about how often trains are late and how unreliable they are. They wonder what the drivers and station staff are being paid for.
But then you look around and see...people running for the closing doors of the train, people holding doors open to let their friends make it on, people holding up whole trains so that they can hug goodbye with someone on the platform (half in, half out).
And in the end, they complain that the trains hold up their day?


That being said, I also find it very idiotic that some buses and trains leave their stops before their scheduled departure time. This means you might as well consider this service cancelled ("for today only. We apologise for any inconvenience caused"). It's gone, even though you arrived for it on time. Now your bus/train service, since the one you originally planned to catch is non-existent, will arrive in 20 minutes. "Have a nice day."


Now onto walking. Not public but it's still transport...
People fiddling with mobiles and mp3 players and cannot function without looking at the screen really should give up walking at the same time They go willy nilly all over the footpath and move at irregular speeds. With headphones in, they won't even hear you say "excuse me". For these people I don't even know if it's better to beg them to move to an out-of-the-way spot before reading their new text message or ask them to just get themselves run over.


Hmmm, this is what my journal should be more about Now I should get on with my work...
